Firefighter. A firefighter walks along a firebreak as a forest fire approaches. The firefighter is one of an elite crew of US firefighters known as 'hotshots'. He is carrying a pulaski axe in his right hand and a fuel can in his left. These tools are used to construct firebreaks of cleared land around the perimeter of the fire which halt its spread. Photographed in 2002 at Burn Canyon, Norwood, Colorado, USA.
