After a rather frustrating day of attempting to pursue some storms off the high terrain of the Western Dakotas and Eastern Wyoming... we headed back to our camp site near Custer State Park in the Black Hills. We entered the park near Sylvan Lake and were treated to this gorgeous sunset reflected in the water and off of towering rock formations. Hope you enjoy!

However, my love for documenting things with a camera started well before I moved to Northeast Nebraska in 2022. I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska until a brief stint in college took me to the University of Nebraska. An early trip to Yellowstone National Park on a family vacation around the age of 12 would stoke the early fires of my passion for photography, which saw me using a 35mm film camera to shoot various geo-thermal features, wildlife, and landscapes in the park. I'm not sure my mother was excited about paying to develop the 10 rolls of film I burned...
